Checking in with your students' feelings daily builds emotional literacy, strengthens relationships and community within the class, and gives you a sense of where your students are at and who might need extra support. I designed this resource to give you a variety of options for a fast and easy check-in during distance learning, when this type of support is even more important!

Fully loaded with sixteen different interactive check-in templates (seven individual online, four individual print, and five collaborative) designed by a licensed clinical social worker, these are ready to start your day with no prep! If opting for individual digital check-ins, simply share the individual slide with preplaced text boxes and moveable selectors with your students for them to fill out and send back to you. If you are doing it on paper, just print, cut the half-sheets, and pass them out. If you want a collaborative check-in for your class, send out the Jamboard page of your choice. Students will be able to add to it by selecting their emotion, choosing a coping strategy for the day (in some models), and adding related thoughts to give you an idea of the mood of the class or spark discussion.
