Hey there school social workers and school counselors!
You deserve the work-life balance and sustainable career you always envisioned when you got into this field! Are you ready to finally achieve it?

I'm Joyce, a licensed clinical social worker and certified school social work specialist with seven years of direct service experience in schools. I have also been a private practice owner for the past four years—two and a half of which I did while working as a full-time school social worker.
I believe deeply in the power of school-based mental health support and loved the work I did in schools. I also came to recognize that in those roles, we are called to pick up the slack for a failing system at our own (and our students') expense. That just did not sit well with me and I have dedicated my career now to ensuring that each and every school social worker and counselor has the support, resources, and knowledge they need to build the sustainable career of their dreams.

Sometimes, that looks like working with pre-licensed clinicians in supervision, leading trainings to share my expertise in school-based systems of support, and creating resources that will help you focus your energy on working with students rather than planning and administrative tasks.

But I also know that some of you are hungry for something different. In every school training I give, I get questions about how I transitioned to private practice. I heard you loud and clear, and that's why I launched my course, Part-Time Private Practice for Full-Time Financial Freedom, which guides you through every step of building and running a successful private practice that allows your personal life to take priority without sacrificing your commitment to client care.
There is so much that they don't teach us in grad school and if you're looking for the cheat code to doing your very best clinical work while also crafting a professional identity that leaves you feeling fulfilled and in this work for the long haul, then I'm the coach for you!
